	The need to remove the rubble and prepare the church site for re-construction is great and completing the job will take a while. A supporting church inaugurated a unique ministry which will allow us to employ the men of the church to prepare the site for re-construction and pay them a salary of $8 per day to earn money to feed their families. It is being called the "Nehemiah Project." (The legal minimun wage in Haiti as of February 2008 is $2.02 / DAY!) Now these men have a means by which they may provide for their families as well as have a meaningful way to pass their time of grief and hurt. There is a sense of purpose among them.  They are working fervently.  When most people around are bleak and desolate....they have HOPE !  Their God is meeting their needs as they in turn meet the needs of God's people.
